Raul Hardie

Raul Hardie (Born in Jamaica, May 5,1943 - March 29, 2025) was a long-time DJ at New York’s WBLS and WWRL radio stations, the first Black-owned stations in the U.S.

A self-taught artist, the works shown here were all found in his apartment on Amsterdam avenue and 87th street when he passed in 2025. Hardie never exhibited his remarkably complex, painted, constructions. They will be exhibited at the 2026 New York Outsider Art Fair that opens March 19, 2026.
